When you visit Winters Heritage House Museum, you will step inside original 1760s log cabins and discover the stories of the Scots-Irish and German settlers who helped shape early Elizabethtown. Discover how people lived as you explore hearth cooking, textiles, historic tools, traditional crafts, and hands-on activities.
Connect with Elizabethtown’s past—and perhaps discover something about your own family’s story along the way.
Parking is free (behind 33 E. High St) and we are walkable from Elizabethtown’s square.

We look forward to welcoming you!
Accessibility — We have an accessible entry to the 1812 room. A portable ramp is available upon request. There are minimal interior steps, so you may need to exit and re-enter different doorways to explore the full site. Call from your car or ring the bell for assistance.
Strollers — Due to narrow architecture and interior stairs, we recommend leaving strollers outside (there is space on the back porch).
Photography — Yes, please! Tag us on social media when you share your photos. Just ask permission before photographing our docents, volunteers, or staff.
Interactive Activities — We have a dedicated area for hands-on activities and arts & crafts. Supervise children as they participate.
Access for Everyone — Show your EBT, WIC, or Medical Access card plus ID, and get in free with the Museums for All program. Up to four people per card qualify.
