Winters Heritage House Museum has several active groups that meet regularly. Each one brings people together around shared interests while contributing to something meaningful. Whether you quilt, work with textiles, garden, or craft, there is a group for you.
When: 2nd and 3rd Thursdays of each month, 1pm – 3pm
Do you love hand quilting? Join a group of quilters who gather twice a month to work together, share ideas, and create beautiful pieces. Some members hand quilt items that go into the museum’s gift shop or are displayed during our annual Craft Show. Others work on smaller personal projects at home. It is entirely up to you.
Beyond regular meetings, the group organizes occasional social gatherings and assists with major events throughout the year—like staffing our May Quilt Show, volunteering at the annual Craft Show, and supporting special exhibitions.
It is quilting with purpose and community.
When: One evening per month
Love working with fibers? This group meets monthly for all things textile-related—embroidery, crochet, knitting, weaving, spinning, or whatever textile craft calls to you.
Members bring their current projects and work alongside fellow fiber artists. It is a relaxed, supportive environment where you can focus on your craft while connecting with others who share your passion. When special events come up, textile group members pitch in to help staff them.

When: Occasional scheduled meetings; work on your own schedule.
Are you a gardener at heart? The Heritage House has a beautiful colonial four-square garden, and it needs hands to help prepare, maintain, and winterize it throughout the year. The garden group manages most of the work—with minimal formal meetings so you can contribute when it works for you.
Many gardeners take some of the crops home, but most produce is donated to the local food bank. It is gardening that feeds your community in real ways. The group also helps staff special events and exhibits as needed.
When: Weekly on Sundays
If you enjoy working with your hands and exploring different craft projects, this is your group. They meet every Sunday to work on various crafts—from traditional techniques to modern creations.
This group has been instrumental in developing our December Holidays exhibit and stays active throughout the year. They help staff our annual Craft Show, special events, and rotating exhibitions.
